Walter Ribey

Passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer on October 16th at his family farm near Goderich.

Loving husband to Penny for 26 years.

Proud dad to Melanie Gross, Danelle Taggert & Tim Junop, Michael & Karen Lennox-Moore.

Grandfather to Alix, Kyle, Julian, Bryan, Kourtney, Brett, Ty, Dakota, and Cheyanne.

Great grandfather to Jaxson, Greyson, and Sierra.

Adoring son to Faye and the late Jamieson (2010) Ribey.

Brother to Sherilyn Delves (Chris).

Missed by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Walter had an amazing attitude about his diagnosis, he was forever optimistic and willing to try anything to help in his fight. His consistent determination to find the best and most productive treatment gave Walter an extra 2 years.

He loved his farming life at the family farm and trucking over Canada and the US.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, cutting wood in the bush, helping neighbours and friends and driving anything with a motor.

He will be missed by all that knew him.

Friends and family are invited the Blyth Community Centre on Wednesday October 21st for visitation from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and October 22nd from 12-1 with funeral service to follow at 1 pm. Please join us via livestream Riverside Funeral Home Facebook Page.

Interment in Colborne Cemetery.
