Stewart Strong

Stewart Strong of RR#2 Gorrie passed away surrounded by his family at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday, March 25th, 2011. Born in Howick Township on August 23, 1930, Stewart was in his 81st year. Stewart was the beloved husband of 59 years to Donna (Arthurs) and will be sadly missed by his children Donna Marie and Roland Bennett of Seaforth, Robert and Lorraine Strong of RR#2 Gorrie and Tom Strong of Fordwich. Also loved by his sisters in law June Lantz, Ilene Davie and Mabel Hasson, his grandchildren Pam, Sherri, Jane, Suzanne, Tara, Jenna, Katelynn, John, and Kerrilynn and his 8 great grandchildren Predeceased by his parents Hartwell and Alberta. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Sunday from the Gorrie Visitation Centre of the Schimanski Family Funeral Home where the service will take place Monday, March 28th at 11 AM officiated by Reverend Sharon Lohnes and Reverend Jeff Hawkins. Spring interment in Gorrie Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Fordwich United Church or to the Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation.
