Samuel Sweeney

Samuel Lester Sweeney of Listowel, and formerly of Brussels, passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday, June 4th, 2006. Born in Timiskaming on May 10th, 1916, Sam was in his 91st year. Sam was the husband of the late Margaret Smith and is survived by his sisters-in-law Jeanette Sweeney of Elora and June Sweeney of British Columbia and by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Bill, Cliff, and Elwood and sisters Elsie and Violet. Friends will be received by the family 2 hours prior to the funeral service being held at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 7th at 3:00 PM with Reverend Cathrine Campbell officiating. Burial will take place in Brussels Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Melville Presbyterian Church or the charity of one�s choice.
