M. Hester (Smith) Blaney of Brussels passed away at Huronlea Home for the Aged on Thursday, November 17th, 2005. Born in Goderich on November 2nd, 1909, Hester was in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late J. Eric Blaney (1996). Dear mother of David Blaney and his wife Sheana Campbell of Brussels and John Blaney and his wife Sharron of Belleville. Dear sister of Paul Smith and his wife Carol of Fergus. Also loved by her grandchildren Sean and his wife Becky, Kyle, Eachunn and Kieran and her great granddaughter Evelyn. Predeceased by her brothers Don and Bruce. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family from 7 to 9 PM Tuesday at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home, where the funeral will be conducted on Wednesday, November 23rd at 2:00 PMwith Rev. Olwyn Coughlin officiating As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Melville Presbyterian Church or to the Huntington Society of Canada.
