Isabell (McCann) Baker of Fordwich passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 21st, 2011 at Listowel Memorial Hospital. Born in Wallace Township, Ontario on December 27th, 1932, Isabel was in her 79th year. Isabell will be sadly missed by her husband John of 54 years and by her children John of Guelph, Jeff and Barb of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Jamie and Angela of Midland and Joel and Chantelle of Harriston. Dear sister of Allison and Bruce Ament of Gowanstown, Margaret and Jim Renwick of Belmore and sister in law Shirley McCann of Palmerston. Also loved by her grandchildren Jami, Jaclyn, Jennifer, Brady, Laura and Colin and her great grandson Alexander. Predeceased by her brothers Jim McCann, Fred and his wife Joan McCann, her sister Jean and her husband Bill Hutchison and her parents William John and Mary Eleanore (Harkess) McCann. At Isabell's request cremation has taken place. The family invite friends to a reception to Celebrate Isabell's Life on Tuesday, December 27th at the Fordwich Hall (the intersection of Patrick and Old Mill Streets) from 2 to 4 PM. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Listowel Memorial Hospital (cheques are to be made payable to the LMH Foundation with Palliative Care Unit noted on the memo line) or the Canadian Cancer Society.
