Herbert Boettcher

Herbert Boettcher, 88 died peacefully at home on the farm on May 13th, 2019, in the loving care of his family after a few months of deteriorating health. In spite of his weakening physical state, his spirit remained strong, his attitude positive and cheerful, his soul patient and peaceful. He was a true beacon to us all!
He is held dear by his wife of 59 years, Elisabeth, son Christian (Gabi), their children Erik (Edda), Martin (Maria), Olaf, Peter and Ingrid, and son Jan (Mary Jane), their children Sascha and Maika and his first great grandchild Ronja. Predeceased by his son Dirk in 1985.
Herbert immigrated from Germany in 1978 with his family and 10 Trakehner horses to farm at Moncrieff Road near Brussels. We are grateful to build upon his foundation and vision.
A Celebration of Herbert’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 25th, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Riverside Funeral Home, Brussels.
