Gloria Thompson

Gloria Rose (Gofton) Thompson of Howick Township, and formerly of Kitchener, passed away at the Fordwich Village Nursing Home on Thursday, November 10th, 2011. Born in Kitchener on January 30th, 1929, Gloria was 82 years of age. Gloria was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Thompson (1982) and will be sadly missed by her children Linda Thompson and husband Jim McGinnis of Kitchener, Brenda Brown and husband Ken McKellar of Wroxeter, Joe Thompson of Cambridge, Ted Thompson of Wroxeter, Janet Thompson of Kitchener and Mike Thompson of Wroxeter, her grandchildren, Crystal and husband Glen, Andrew, Melissa, Scott, Joe, Nikki, Chadd, Joslin, Tyler, Jennifer and Christina. Cherished Great Grandma to Emily, Jade, Noah, Jett, Nicholas, Joseph, Onyx and Kade. Dear sister of Doug and Frances Gofton of Listowel. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Rose Gofton, sister Delphine Wicks and mother-in-law Rose Thompson. Friends will be received by the family from 1 PM till time of the funeral service being conducted on Monday, November 14th at 2:00 PM from the Gorrie Visitation Centre of the Schimanski Family Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. Cremation with interment in Bridgeport Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Lung Association or to the Resident's Council of the Fordwich Village Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family.
