Gerald McArter

Gerald McArter of Brussels passed away peacefully at Wingham & District Hospital on Friday, December 26th, 2014. Born in Morris Township on October 21st, 1933, Gerald was in his 82nd year. Gerald was the beloved husband of 41 years to Ruth (Jewell) McArter. Dear father of Doug Huether of Brussels and Greg and Dinny Huether of Listowel. Dear brother of Donna Fischer, Mel and Lois McArter and Dorthea and Oscar Ducharme. Loving grandfather to Bill and Angel Huether, Annette Burgers, and Greg and Mandi Huether. Also loved by his many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. Gerald was predeceased by his parents John and Elsie (Beirness) McArter, his brothers Jim and Murray and brother in law Roy Fischer. Friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the funeral service being conducted on Tuesday, December 30th, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the Schimanski Family Funeral Home to be officiated by Pastor Sandra Cable. Interment at Brussels Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
