Elmer John Miller of Fordwich, passed away peacefully at Palmerston & District Hospital on Monday, July 30th, 2007. Born in Elmira on October 31st, 1912, Elmer was in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Ethel (Aitchison) Miller. Dear father of Andy Miller and his wife Shirleyanne of Listowel, Elaine D'Arcey and her husband Barry of Fordwich, Bill Miller and his wife Linda of Fordwich, Sherrin Woods of Listowel, Karen Miller of Palmerston, Eileen Sulivan and her husband Bill of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and Lori Bentley and her husband Dean of Cranbrook. Also loved by his son-in-law Reg Wright of Oakville, brother Gary Miller of Chesley, his 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his daughter Ann (2003), son Grant (1982), sisters Marie Bowman and Edna Piercey, brother Ted and step brother Vic. Cremation has taken place. A Private Family Service Celebrating the life of Elmer will be held Thursday, August 2nd at the Gorrie Visitation Centre of the Schimanski Family Funeral Home. Interment of cremated remains in Fordwich Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Sick Kids Foundation, 555 University Ave., Toronto, ON M5G 1X8.
