Dorothea Louise (Tichborne) McArter of Brussels passed away at Braemar Retirement Centre, Wingham, on Saturday, April 1st, 2006. Born in Goderich Township on November 17th, 1924, Dorothea was in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Donald Keith McArter. Dear mother of Murray McArter and his wife Gayle, Joan Cloakey and her husband Doug and Paul McArter and his wife Tracey all of Brussels. Also loved by her 7 grandchildren; Becky, Sarah, Matthew, Janisa, Carter, Ryan and Konrad, her 3 great grandchildren Garrett, Morgan and Seth and sisters-in-law Florence McArter and Jean Davidson. Predeceased by her daughter Cathy Snyder and her husband Doug, brother Bill, sister Viola Bell, and brothers-in-law Bill McArter and Cal Davidson. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Monday at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home, where the service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 4th at 2:00 PM with Sandra Cable of Brussels United Church officiating. Interment in Brussels Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Brussels United Church or the charity of one�s choice.
