Chris Smith

January 1, 1970 — December 11, 2021

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Christopher Allen Smith on December 11th, 2021, at the age of 51. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his four children and their significant others, Lexi (Greg), Delayna (Tyler), Hudson (Meghan), Bennett (Emma). Fondly remembered and cherished by his high school sweetheart Shelly Smith. Beloved son of Fred and Teuni Smith. Brother to Steve (Kim) and uncle to Stephanie (Riaz) and Stacy. He will be greatly missed by many relatives of the Smith and Van Loo families.

Chris was a family-oriented man who loved and cherished his life on the farm. Whether he was fixing something that was broken or building something new, he worked tirelessly doing what he loved each and every day. He enjoyed going camping in the summer and building ice rinks in the winter for his kids. Chris loved spending time with family and friends making memories, sharing a laugh, and having a good time. He will be sincerely missed by his fellow work family at Brussels Transport and all the farmers near and afar who have touched his life.

Dad…although your time here on earth was cut short, we will love you forever. Your strength, hardworking and dedicated attitude will live on in each one of us.

On Saturday, December 18th, 2021, a graveside service will occur at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Ethel (85344 Mount Pleasant Line Ethel ON N0G 1T0) at 1:00pm. An invitation is extended to those who would like to attend. Covid 19 restrictions will apply.

Memorial donations to the Ontario Lung Association, Brussels Blyth Minor Hockey Association or to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
