Charles Terpstra

Charlie Terpstra of RR#4 Brussels passed away on Tuesday, December 17th, 2013 at his residence. Born in the Netherlands on April 11th, 1945, Charlie was in his 69th year. Charlie was the beloved husband of 45 years to Catherine (de Jong) Terpstra. Dear father of Tony of Kitchener, Joe and Barb of Brussels, Chuck and Samantha of Brussels, Anna and John Van Dyk of Tavistock, Mary and Stephen Skinn of Wingham, Chris Terpstra and Kristy Perrin of Drumbo and Kady Terpstra of Kitchener. Loving grandfather of Chad, Natasha, Chelsey, Alison, Emily, Cole, Curtis, Matthew, Corrine, Janine, Katelyn, Kyra, Janna, Jeron, Kirstie, Nathan, Jeanna and Kristen. Dear brother to Emma and Henk Boersen, Julie and Martin van Bakel, Nick and Catherine, Herman and Rosemary, Joe and Miriam, Joanne de Brabandere, Mary Terpstra, Mike Terpstra, his brother in law Bill van Nes and sister in law Hennie Terpstra. Dear brother in law to Jacob de Jong, John and Sharon de Jong, Trudy Huber, Mary Ann and John Vernooy, Jack and Lia Snell, Peter and Joanne de Jong, Bill and Kim de Jong, Rick and Karen de Jong, Clarence and Sandy de Jong, and Steve and Marie de Jong. Predeceased by his parents Nicholaas and Johanna, sisters Helen, Margaret and Patricia, brother Ben, and father and mother in law Klaas and Anna de Jong. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Thursday at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 589 Fishleigh Road, Brussels where the funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 20th at 11:00 AM by Reverend Father Keith Morrison. Parish Prayers 1:30 PM Thursday prior to the visitation. Interment to take place in St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Cemetery in the spring. in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Autism Canada Foundation or to Red Cross Care Partners would be appreciated by the family.
