Alexander Mawhinney

Alexander John Mawhinney of Brussels, and formerly of Lucknow, passed away at Seaforth Community Hospital on Sunday, July 28th, 2013. Born in Walkerton on April 2nd, 1941, Alex was in his 73rd year. Alex was the beloved husband of the late Linda Whitby and will be sadly missed by his siblings Janet Lyons of Holmesville, Ivan and Doreen of Paisley, Marilyn and Fred Summers of Wingham and Alfred and Mary of Brussels. Also loved by his many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Clarence and Cora. At Alex's request cremation has taken place. A graveside interment of cremated remains will be held at Wingham Cemetery on Wednesday, July 31st at 11:00 AM. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
