Adah Smith

Adah Elizabeth (Grasby) Smith of Brussels, passed away at Huronlea Home for the Aged, on Friday, April 24th, 2009. Born in Morris Township on September 26th, 1919, Adah was in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Smith, who predeceased her in 1956. Dear mother of James Smith of Stratford, Donald and Aline Smith of Ottawa, Rae Smith of St. Mary's, Robert Smith of Brussels, and Douglas and Colleen Smith of Guelph. Also loved by her brothers Robert Grasby and Jane of Belgrave and Ross Nichol and Barb of Brussels, her 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter Joan, her son Larry, her brother William and daughters-in-law Mary and Mary. Friends will be received by the family from 7 to 9 PM Monday from the Schimanski family Funeral Home where the funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 28th at 2:00 PM with Sandra Cable of Brussels United Church officiating. Interment in Brussels Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Brussels United Church of the Huronlea Auxiliary.
